In Feb 2008 my 29 yr old son wasn't feeling well, went to the doctor and was told both of his kidneys had completely shut down and had possible lymphoma. Of course we spent many hours soul searching and praying. One day while in deep desperation I was sitting outside and a butterfly landed on me. Remembering that you had said to ask Mother God for a miracle - I prayed - If my son is going to be alright please send me a "purple" butterfly. A few days later I was mowing my sons yard and a purple butterfly fluttered by, then another, and another. When I looked up there were a dozen PURPLE butterflies fluttering about. I had my answer!! I've always considered myself a child of God and had (what I felt) was a personal relationship with him, but wondered if that was enough. You have helped me overcome some misgivings about feelings I had with my mother and now my relationship with her is much better. Your books helped me realize that the things I believed in and made me feel good were not "hokey" as some people told me. I am now very strong in my spirituality and strongly feel hospice nursing is what I was meant to do. My question is one that many people ask. What is the name of my spirit guide? I recently watched your webcast on Spiritual Connections. I enjoyed the messages about saying hello to people or just checking with someone to see how they are. During lots of hard times in this life I found some way to crawl out of a hole when I was younger and re-invent myself so to speak. I was depressed, low self-esteem, addicted, abused. And everywhere I went I had to walk due to lack of car or bike. But, I noticed that I would always walk with my head down, never said hello to a passerby, just scared. Then slowly everyday I would always make myself hold my head up when I walked, look people in the face and say "Hello" to all passerbys. Before I knew it Wonderful things started to happen..people responded to my kindness and remembered it. But, as life has gone on, I've let lots of Hardship ruin such a good thing I had taught myself. And I think most people have as well. Nowadays we are so scared to say "Hello" to a stranger or a smile. Recently, I had decided to get back to doing what I once did when I used to walk. Then I seen the Webcast and upped my game even more. Met new people in my neighborhood including an elderly man who felt like me, know one wants to know anyone anymore. The next day he happily waved to me as I waved "Good Morning.' Also, Gentlemen callers, LOL!, having been a calling. And right now I am single, but am happy just meeting new people. I don't think you should HAVE to need someone in your life to spread joy. I am going to continue spreading lots of happiness to everyone by saying "Hello with a Smile." Because you know I think we all forget who we once were when we were happy when hard times come up. It's the getting back that's sometimes rough, but worth the try! Within the last month, I have read 5 of your books and still crave more information. They have been a tremendous comfort to me and have helped with my grief.
